Honoring the work of the Diaper Bank

The 6th Councilmanic District last week presented a citation to Pat Kennedy, founder and executive director of the Greater Philadelphia Diaper Bank.

In 2020, the volunteer-run nonprofit donated some 2.3 million children and adult diapers and more than 250,000 sanitary products.

The agency makes donations to homeless shelters, food pantries, family service agencies and faith-based organizations in Philadelphia and New Jersey, and works with the city Department of Public Health.

Council office staffer Paul Ragan made the presentation to Kennedy, who is retiring on March 31. ••
